Advisory Board

Our Advisory Board Members are individuals with diverse expertise, perspectives, and connections that align with our organization’s mission and strategic goals. They are professionals from sectors like business, finance, law, marketing, technology, healthcare, education, or non-profit management. They have a genuine interest in what we do. Likewise, they are passionate about our mission and impact.  Their enthusiasm and dedication inspire others and contribute to our success. They are willing to commit time and effort to actively participate in Advisory Board meetings, activities, and initiatives.

To select Advisory Board members, we have established a clear criterion and a process for recruitment, including nominations, interviews, and selection. Engaging current Advisory Board members, organizational leadership, and stakeholders in the selection process has helped us ensure alignment with My School ITALY’s strategic priorities and values.

Here are the key roles and responsibilities of our Advisory Board:

Strategic Guidance: Advisory Board members provide strategic advice based on their expertise and experience. They offer insights on Early Childhood Care and Education industry trends, best practices, and innovative approaches that can help us navigate challenges and seize opportunities.

Governance and Oversight: They assist in governance matters by reviewing and advising on policies, procedures, and governance structures. This ensures our organization operates ethically, transparently, and in accordance with its mission and values.

Networking and Connections: Advisory Board members often bring extensive networks and connections that benefit our organization. They facilitate introductions to potential partners, donors, clients, or stakeholders, thereby expanding our organization’s reach and influence.

Fundraising and Resource Mobilization: Advisory Board members play a role in fundraising efforts. They contribute financially themselves, provide access to donor networks, or advise on fundraising strategies to support our organization’s financial sustainability.

Advocacy and Public Relations: Advisory Board members act as ambassadors of our organization, advocating on our behalf in the community, with policymakers, and in professional circles. They help raise awareness about our organization’s mission and impact.

Monitoring and Evaluation: They assist in monitoring our organization’s performance against strategic goals and objectives. Advisory Board members participate in periodic reviews or assessments to ensure the organization remains effective and accountable.

Specialized Expertise: Advisory Board members bring specialized knowledge and skills in fields such as finance, law, marketing, technology, healthcare, or education. This expertise enriches decision-making and problem-solving processes.

Overall, our Advisory Board plays a critical role in providing strategic direction, fostering growth, ensuring accountability, and enhancing the overall effectiveness and impact of the organization it serves. Each member contributes unique perspectives and capabilities, collectively guiding My School ITALY towards achieving its mission and vision.

MEET OUR ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS

DR FERDINANDO AMENDOLA (ITALY)

  • MBBS, MD PAETIATRICS from Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro in 1968 in Pediatric Cardiology.
  • As a doctor served his patients for over 5 decades.
  • Continues to help the junior football players of Bari Team in Italy as their Sports Medicine Doctor.

Being a Cardio Paediatrician, Dr Amendola specializes in diagnosing and treating heart problems in children. He has an advanced training in paediatric cardiology, which means he understands how children’s hearts work differently from adults’ hearts. He cares for babies, children, and adolescents who have various heart conditions, ranging from congenital heart defects (problems present at birth) to acquired heart diseases. Furthermore, he is crucial in ensuring that children with heart conditions receive the best possible care to live healthy lives. He is a compassionate and skilled doctor who makes a big difference in the lives of his young patients and their families.

In our kindergarten setting, he contributes by advising us in the school’s policies on:

  • Screening and Assessments
  • Education and Awareness
  • Consultation and Referrals
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Supporting Inclusive Activities
  • Monitoring and Follow-up

 

Overall, his role as a pediatric cardiologist in our kindergarten setting contributes to the health and well-being of young children by promoting heart health, identifying potential issues early, and supporting a safe and inclusive environment for all students.

DR DEEPTHI GEDDAM (INDIA)

  • MBBS, MD PAEDIATRICS from Postgraduate Institute of Medicine and Reaserch (PGIMER), Chandigarh

Dr Deepthi Geddam is a Paediatrician with 13 years of experience.  She has worked in top most paediatric centres as Neonotologist. Her urge to serve rural people made her to start career in rural areas. She has established a top care Paediatric Center at Naidupet, Tirupathi, India and has been serving a lot of poor children.

She shares the same responsibilities as Dr Ferdinando Amendola and they together help our organisation to make the best Indo-Italian policies for child development and child care.

DR SANDEEP ADAVARAM (INDIA)

  • MBBS, D.ORTHO, DNB ORTHO, Fellowship in FAOI, FIP, ILIZAROV
  • University Topper in Orthopaedics 2012
  • Certificate course in Pain Medicine
  • Certificate course in Ozone Therapy

Dr Sandeep Adavaram is an orthopaedic surgeon with 12 years of experience in trauma, joint replacement and spine cases.  He has performed 8000 surgeries.  He is a pioneer in Ozone Necleolysis, an innovative approach in treating backpain without surgery.  He established a tertiary level hospital in rural area a decade ago with top amenities for rural poor.  With a team of doctors, complex surgeries are being performed in this hospital.

As an Orthopedic Surgeon in our kindergarten setting, Dr Adavaram focuses on promoting musculoskeletal health, early detection of orthopedic issues, providing expert consultation, and supporting the holistic development and well-being of children. His involvement contributes to creating a safe and supportive environment where every child can thrive physically.  He educates our teachers, staff, and parents about common musculoskeletal conditions in children, preventive measures, and strategies to promote healthy posture and movement habits.  He advises us on safety measures and ergonomic considerations within our kindergarten environment to minimize risks of injury.  He collaborates with pediatricians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers involved in the care of children with orthopedic concerns. This ensures coordinated and comprehensive care for each child.
